About Dr. Shah
Dr. Vaidehi Shah has
always envisioned herself as a Pediatrician and enjoys working with children.
Dr.Shah has wide range of
experience in treating common Pediatric conditions which includes but not
limited to common newborn problems, Asthma, Allergies, ADHD, Other behavioral
issues, Skin problems, Common injuries, Sports injuries and much more.
She enjoys spending time with her
family, likes to travel and enjoys listening to music.
Dr. Shah speaks English,
Gujarati, Hindi and basic Spanish.
Dr. Shah was awarded Top
Pediatrician in Virginia Award for the year of 2018.
Dr.Vaidehi Shah's Education
Born and raised in India, Dr.Shah
received her medical degree from Pramukh Swami Medical College in Gujarat,
India. She completed her Residency training from Texas Tech University Health
Science Center in El Paso and is now settled in Virginia with her family.
Dr Shah's Practice Philosophy
Dr. Shah strongly believes that
educating parent plays an important in child’s health. She spends adequate time
listening to parents and addressing their concerns. A visit to Vaidehi Shah Pediatrician is
not just for vaccines but to assess overall child’s development. This scheduled
visit helps to address concerns, if any, in timely manner and improve their
overall health. She also enjoys participating in community activities that will
help educate parents and children and was also awarded for Best Community
Service during her residency. Dr. Shah strongly believes in patient- and
family-centered care and practices evidence-based medicine.
Akshar Pediatrics
Akshar Pediatrics is
located in Gainesville; one of the fastest growing localities in Northern
Virginia. Akshar Pediatrics is more than your ordinary pediatric office. Dr.
Vaidehi Shah and the Akshar Team know that going to the doctor is not the most
fun part of your child’s day. That’s why our goal is to make all children who
come to us feel welcome and comfortable, from the moment they walk in the door
to the moment they place their very own hand impression on our Akshar tree
mural before they leave. Our office is focused on providing the best pediatric
care for children and teenagers of all ages in the Northern Virginia area
including Vaidehi Shah
Pediatrician Manassas Gainesville Bristow Haymarket Chantilly communities.
Our office has a separate waiting
section for well visits and sick patients.
For mothers who are breast-feeding,
we have a small, quiet room where you can breast-feed your baby without
worrying that you’ll be disturbed.
Our office is warm and inviting,
just like a cozy home. We provide comfortable seats, games to play, books to
read and even a TV to watch. We proudly serve coffee, refreshments and bottled
water for you and your little ones.
Akshar Pediatrics accepts most of
the major insurance policies. In addition, Akshar Pediatrics also accept
Medicaid patients. We accept walk-in patients in addition to scheduling
appointments for patients.
Dr. Shah personally attends each
of the Akshar Pediatrics’ patients.
